Super Shoppes is a new national group of New Zealands Premium
Automotive Repairers. David Storey Motors has been selected
to be albany's Premium Automotive Repair Centre.
We are an MTA approved workshop and we undertake repairs
and maintenance for all the major warranty companies including Lumley's,
Custom Fleet and DriveRight. As well as routine
maintenance, we carry out repairs to vehicles ranging from radiator leaks
to complete motor and gearbox replacement. We also supply and fit
new batteries and tyres (at prices that normally beat the high priced
street retailers).
David Storey Motors were finalists in the ‘Westpac
Enterprise North Shore Business Excellence Awards’ for customer
service.

Dear David,
I have decided to write an open and entirely unsolicited
letter to you. I feel I must express my appreciation and gratitude for
the very fine automobile repair and maintenance service provided to me
by you and your staff over the past three years. I found the thoroughness
with which you explained the detail of the work carried out to be both
illuminating and reassuring.
A notable feature of your organisation is the politeness
and courtesy your staff display to customers. This is observable at the
reception desk as well as on the shop floor. The availability of a courtesy
car during transactions is another advantage for busy people who are dependant
on their cars for business purposes.
But perhaps the most impressive aspect of your service
is the honesty and integrity you have personally shown in all your business
contacts with me. This was particularly in evidence in the way you dealt
with the auto transmission problems I was having from a car recently purchased
at your organisation. In good faith you had sub-contracted with an Auto
Transmission Specialist firm to install a new transmission as part of
the deal. It was under warranty, but for the next year repeatedly broke
down, causing great inconvenience. It was repaired six times by this firm
under their warranty without the problem being diagnosed or cured. The
specialist firm was, however, unwilling to replace the obviously faulty
unit. Eventually the warranty expired and the specialist firm refused
to deal with the matter unless I paid for their services.
At this point, you decided to address the problem yourself
and had your own staff install another new transmission at a cost to yourself
of $2500 approx. You declined to accept my offer to share the cost with
you and stated it was part of our gentleman’s agreement that the
car I purchased from you have a new transmission when it changed hands.
I am full of admiration for your honesty and good faith.
I take every opportunity to praise your service to my friends and acquaintances.
You deserve to have a growing clientele.
